Cistate Solutions, Inc. has renewed its website.
The theme is "unprecedented machine translation" and "the 4th Gen machine translation".
At Cistate Solutions, we have been performing analysis, formatting, and processing of text in various formats and languages. In addition, we have developed systems such as incorporating automatic translation, represented by Google Translate, into corporate business systems. Through this process, we have successfully developed the 4th generation AI automatic translation by combining numerous accumulated natural language processing technologies and related knowledge.
In addition, development of peripheral technologies to connect automatic translation to business, such as technology to automatically translate websites and Office documents, has been progressing since around 2021, and we have also achieved certain results.
During this process, we faced more and more limitations of automatic translation and tried various approaches to find a solution. We wanted to control the translation of technical terms, specialized terms, and proper nouns, as well as the writing style. We also wanted to make post-editing more efficient. However, with the existing (up to the 3rd generation) framework of automatic translation, it was difficult to find a solution. Google Translate also has a terminology function, but it is not user-friendly and often leads to a decrease in translation quality, making it impractical. The same challenges were present with neural MT.
Cistate Solutions' challenge over the past few years has been to overcome the barrier that old-generation machine translation could not overcome, by automating "pre-editing (automated processing of the source text with consideration for translatability)".
The world of natural language processing has been completely transformed by the emergence of large language models, represented by ChatGPT. When using large language models as the foundation for automatic translation, various challenges must be overcome. However, it is now possible to achieve control over terminology and writing style, and even completely change the way post-editing is done.
To reflect the evolution of such technology and Cistate Solutions, we have renewed our website. Many of the technologies we have developed or are currently developing have not yet been fully introduced on this site, but we will gradually add information.

Not only have we achieved high-performance AI automatic translation, but we can also help incorporate it into your business, existing systems, and operations. We have a strong technological foundation to support this. We will continue to strive to convey this strength to everyone through the enhancement of this website.

Cistate Translation Proxy, a website automatic multilingualization solution, has been implemented on the website of the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT). The content of the association's website is translated from English to Japanese, Spanish, German, and Portuguese, and delivered to engineers in each country.
