There are many commonly used terms in local government, but there are also cases where it is difficult to determine how to write them or how to translate them when expanding to multiple languages.
The "Language Asset Database for Local Governments" is a collection of terms used by local governments in a bilingual format, based on data created by Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture. This allows users to view both the original Japanese text and its translation together. By consolidating terms that were previously collected and translated individually by each local government, the aim is to share and provide more easily understandable information on what terms are being used and how they are translated.

The Language Asset Database for Local Governments aims to contribute to the multilingual information dissemination of local governments and will continue to promote the accumulation of terminology and expansion of supported languages.
